[Note taking] Using Evernote

Lately I have been using Evernote to take my notes in a sense. I write my daily diary and add lyrics to all my favourite songs in it.

Everything else though I am still using my regular pen and paper 🙂 sometimes writing out a tonne of lyrics just isn’t fun and I don’t know about you but printing loads of pictures to stick in my notebook just doesn’t sound cool also the feeling of the paper once there is glue pasted is just horrible ^^

Here are a few reasons why I use Evernote instead of my regular notebook to write down my daily diary in Korean and lyrics ^^ and work on other Korean study related things (:

1. When I tried writing my daily diary in my notebook it was really hard because when I made a mistake I had to scratch it out and it made the whole experience very upsetting (seeing the scratch marks! also the horrible correction fluid marks) so I decided that it would be best to just go digital for my diary, either way its all going on my Naver blog so what difference does it make? None, right?

2. You are already on a digital device (be it a smartphone, tablet or your computer.) so you have a multitude of resources at your disposal, yeah when you are using your notebook you still have those same resources but somehow I am more inclined to use these resources (dictionary etc. grammar books…) when its a click (or a swipe) away ^^

3. Using the Evernote Clipper for your web browser (I use both Chrome and Firefox) is much simpler to get news articles when I am online and continue working on them and reading them offline, having it all in one place its more fun to work like that with organization 🙂

4. I’m sorry I just hate things to look tacky so when it comes to writing practice and translating things I use Evernote then (only with translations) I transfer all words I don’t know and grammar I don’t know into my notebook with explanations that I have either taken from a grammar book or from online resources 😀 as well as what I do know with more information to reinforce it in my head.

5. one more. Although I have only lost one Korean notebook out of four notebooks just in case I loose one again at least some of what I have written in my paper notebook is still on file in evernote, the words I look up when I read a manhwa book though would all be lost *don’t think that* hahaha 😀

Five reasons. That is a lot of reasons for me haha ~ plus adding voice notes and pictures xD

Try it I am pretty sure it will me much easier to get your Korean diary done when your typing using your phone – its also a motivational tactic, 10 minutes is all I need to put some of the Korean I know to good use and talk about some and since I can always hit the ‘backspace’ doesn’t have to look awfully tacky with pen/pencil marking all over the damn paper. D:
