It’s getting warmer during the days here, which doesn’t help with encouraging study. But it didn’t matter today anyway, my Grandmother passed away early yesterday morning in the hospital so most of my day was spent either in town, or at her home where there was a gathering! -_- #RIP

In any case, I did study as much as I could, which I have to admit wasn’t really as much as I think I could have managed 🙁

1. Grammar study
Sometimes I like grammar….and sometimes I don’t! >_< today was one of those days when I felt it was a fun thing to really look over. I actually purchased the bulk lessons for Level 5 on talktomeinkorean.com (here is the link to the store) and printed the book, and went and got it spiral bound. Because honestly, when it’s an eBook on my laptop I won’t ever get to reading it….which would be a waste! ^^

2. Reading study
I’m experimenting a little with my language study.
I’m reading a lot more right now, I have temporarily ditched my Yonsei Reading 2 textbook, not because I don’t like it, in fact it’s the contrary, I adore that book so much, I get easily addicted to reading it, can’t stop.

So I decided that using a book that 1) allows me to read something interesting, and learn some new words and 2) gives me some writing inspiration is pretty darn good.

Two birds with one stone! 🙂

This is the book I’m using for reading….I’m sill on the 소개 section, but it’s pretty good. I like the breakdown of vocabulary, and of course the grammar/ with sample sentences.

It really gives you some ideas on how you can express yourself in your own writing ^^

And finally….

3. Korean Drama Phrases

I don’t like learning phrases. I detest the idea of learning set phrases! However, these are fun, I’m almost done with them, and I’ll review them properly on the blog, probably next week. It’s really fun because what I am learning/hearing on these lessons, I watch a drama and I come across a variation.

It gives a sense of progress even though it’s just “phrases” you are learning. ^^ And also, you can’t call Korean drama phrases real “phrases” it’s more like colloquial “talk” lines (:

Monologues are fun too, if you can find the time ^^
