I like to update on how I’m doing with things because it helps me to see when I’m being a lazy but, haha ^^ language is a commitment and sometimes I’m too lazy busy to keep up with myself 😛

My mind has so many things in it, I want to read this, and that but it’s kinda hard at times -_- only when I’m busy though if I’m not too busy then everything is just perfect for me (:

I can’t actually multi-task though I have realized ~ or rather I don’t do it very well. I’m reading about 5+ different books (excluding school-work) I can’t even remember all of them since its been a week + since I read some of them.

So let’s have an update on all the books I’m reading and how far I am on each of them! Using a book-marker is actually getting harder, and harder xD

  • The Language Instinct I’m on chapter 2 and so far its good hoping it gets a little more exciting and if it doesn’t urm I’ll just drop it, I don’t have the patience for boring things tbh but it does seem very good. Can’t wait for more detailed explanations.
  • Eclipse (English ver.) it’s for a book report. Two actually and its going very very well.
  • 신품 I am enjoying it ^^ all I can say for now ………..

Textbooks are a whole other story, I have been procrastinating but I stopped and started working and using the KGIU textbook (: and wow forgot how long some of those explanations can be, very helpful and I learnt  19+ words which is totally awesome for a few hours of reading.

Ewha? Ewha? I’m not using them at the moment. No time, or I just don’t feel like it, I don’t know I seem more drawn to my other books that I haven’t used in a while.

PS :- the 신품 novel was not included in this reading/studying because if it had been it would have been 100+ words I learnt ha, that’s how many I don’t know.

PPS :- to read a novel I’ve noticed your vocabulary can be utter rubbish but as long as you have grammar you are good to go. Where that leaves me I just don’t know haha.

  1. It’s definitely not easy to keep up with everything when you’re a book junkie. Last week I almost had a breakdown [ok, so dramatic] because I couldn’t manage all the stuff I’ve started reading lately – novels, essays, articles, manga etc. Sometimes it’s good to jot down everything you’re currently reading and just give priorities I guess 😀

    1. Being a book junkie is absolutely the most difficult thing 😀 Yeah taking it all down is a good idea but guess what (I’m serious) i actually forgot some of the things I was reading and only remembered when I found them on my desk all piled high omg its insane. But so much fun in the long run :p

  2. When watching Korean dramas, I had a preference for picking one and marathoning thru it. That way, it wasn’t the start/.stop of switching from one drama to the next and having to remember where you left off and who all these characters were. Reading books is similar for me.

I would occasionally get myself in a bind where I was watching 6 live shows at once and marathoning a few shows in between when I had time. It made my brain melt.

I went crazy with my Korean book purchases when I started learning the language 3 months ago. Now i have book guilt. You know the feeling? Where you bought a book, it is sitting on your shelf, you mean to get to it, but there are so many other books you are also reading while learning that you haven’t had time. So guilt. Like plants I forgot to water. Like neglected children.

The books I am feeling guilty about now: Living Languages Korean, Survival Korean, Korea Unmasked, Selected Korean Poems, Korean Made Easy, TTMIK’s verb books volume 1 & 2, Mary Stayed Out All Night photobook, 2000 Essential Korean words, Fast and Fun Korean, Goong manga.

    1. Haha I couldn’t really be bothered most times when I stop watching it ^^ hate it when it feels like I’m forcing myself to get through something, such a tedious thing! 🙂 I actually sadly don’t know the feel of book guilt lol I never feel guilty about my books – I feel guilty about my study habits though lol.

You have a lot of books, good luck with reading them 😀

  3. Haha, I’m exactly like you when reading books! I read 3 or even more books at once and I still understand every one of them (if I’m not lazy and read all of them without a long pause, haha). I can’t read more than one textbook at once too, because I think it confuses me sooooo much!

    1. But its really fun to read more books, more people should be like us 😀 that would be awesome, right? You are absolutely right, when you pause sometimes it gets really confusing, but I’m sure some people don’t have that problem (I’m just not that person!) ha, I still manage to read more than one textbook then forget about it and have to start from the beginning :p

thanks for the comment 🙂 loved reading it ^^
